CebuLTCstudentledgrpdevo

Cebu LTC’s theme Loves Moves emphasized how much Christ loves us and that love compels us not only to love Him above all else but to go and make disciples.

Before the conference even started the students’ faith jumped to leaps and bounds as they raised support for the first time. And during the conference itself their leadership skills were honed as they led the group devotions every morning. Some were more than overwhelmed when they shared the gospel and saw people receiving Christ.

One would assume that after all the worship times, prayer times, devotions, sessions, the two by two practice, these newly-trained young leaders would go back to their normal lives.

Amazingly, they didn’t.

A week after the LTC a number of them decided to get together not for fellowship but to apply what they learned from the training. They came up with a plan without the staff’s knowledge.

Using the Cebu CCC Facebook egroup disseminated the message to meet at SM Cebu City Food Court last October 27. Gathering all the witnessing materials they would use they invited others to join them in sharing Christ at the agreed time and place. Some students living outside the city proper did not make the distance an obstacle of not having their own evangelistic blitz. Not to be outdone, they planned their own witnessing event but in another mall near the place where most of them reside. They called the other CCC involved students nearby and shared Christ on the same day.

Altogether the students shared the gospel to 61 people and 53 indicated they received Christ into their lives that day. Hallelujah!

There is no stopping them. They planned another witnessing time where hopefully more will be join with those vacationing in their provinces will already be back the second semester.

May God continue to keep the fire burning in the hearts of these young leaders. All glory and honor to Jesus Christ our Lord!
